SynergiC3 is a $5.5 million, five-year project. It will receive up to $2.9 million from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency’s Innovation Fund (AIF), a program designed to encourage partnerships among private sector firms, universities, colleges and other research institutions to develop new products and services.

As part of SynergiC3, Desire2Learn will develop a productivity enhancement software suite that will decrease the production time for developing eLearning content by accelerating workflow processes, facilitating collaborative authoring and enhancing quality control capabilities. The company will provide an in-kind contribution of more than $1 million in the form of technical expertise and direct salaries, and will commercialize the completed software.

In an industry where many opportunities and challenges exist, you have to form strategic partnerships. It is for this reason that the Université de Moncton is partnering with the National Research Council Institute for Information Technology and Desire2Learn Inc. for the development of SynergiC3, an e-Learning productivity enhancement framework. The SynergiC3 project will help address key challenges in the e-Learning industry and increase productivity for the development of various content forms.
